Large holders of the asset (whales) have a huge impact on pricing. The metrics CEXes & Exchanges to whales flow, Whale to CEXes flow, Whale balance, Whale $ 1k. + & $ 1 mln. + transaction count allow to estimate the volume of transactions of whales in relation to the total volume of transactions in the asset and to find the moment when they withdrew or on the contrary brought their assets from/to the exchanges.
<aside> 💡 It is worth making an important observation. By the time of 2023, the cryptocurrency market has developed quite a lot. There are already a number of derivatives that allow to hedge the risks of falling prices without having the asset itself on the balance sheet of a centralized exchange. Thus entering assets on an exchange does not guarantee a sale on the spot market.
