Intro

SpreadFighter differs significantly from traditional retail client trading and analytical solutions.

The platform models do not provide fully prepared "signals," "entry points," etc. SpreadFighter provides people with a good tool for finding inefficiencies/gaining a market advantage in an efficient market.

<aside> 💡 The market is a closed environment and a zero-sum game. If someone profits, someone else loses. There is no other way. The model of pure signal return, public copy trading, etc. is inherently flawed. If you do not understand this, make sure to understand why.

In order to fully realize the potential of trading and analytical tools like SpreadFighter, a skill set of finesse is required, namely:

  1. A basic understanding of mathematics and knowledge of market mechanisms.
  2. A basic understanding of how various market phenomena will be reflected in market data (volatility, volume, tape speed, liquidity, open interest, correlation, classic and synthetic spreads, etc.).

<aside> 💡 Example: "inflation rises → the Fed raises the key rate → loans become more expensive → production decreases → people are laid off → purchasing power decreases → demand decreases → prices fall → inflation decreases → the Fed lowers the rate" and so on.

  1. Skill of asking the right questions and setting specific tasks.

<aside> 💡 "What altcoin to buy for $100 to get a Lamborghini tomorrow?!" - is a bad question. "How will the volatility of a specific asset change relative to the broad market during a pump? Through which mathematical function can I give a clear answer that the volatility has changed?" - are good questions.

  1. Basic understanding of risk management and distribution of winrate, profits and losses in different types of strategies.

If one has competencies in the above-mentioned points, the use of professional analytical tools will be much more productive, as there will be an understanding of:

  1. what task is in front of the user,
  2. which models and tools are capable of helping to solve this task.

Below are several workspace presets and examples of platform usage for different types of strategies, approaches, and time frames: from short-term inefficiencies to long-term portfolio transactions and synthetic positions.
